Stop Being Intimidated By Bitcoin!

How to Set Up Your Very Own Bitcoin Wallet Easily

1. Click Here to Begin (How to create Your own CoinBase Account)

2. Fill out your first and last name, your email, choose a password (save this password in a separate text file!), choose your state, then tick off the box that verifies you're over 18 years old.

Then click the blue Create account button.

3. Follow prompts along the way to create 2-factor authentication (or 2-step verification) for your account.

4. Sign in HERE with your email address and password.

5. Enter the code you got on your phone or in your email, then click the blue VERIFY button.

6. In the top right corner, click on your picture or name.

7. In the dropdown menu, click on Settings.

8. You'll land on your Profile where you can upload a picture of you, add any details on your profile that are missing (scroll down), etc.

If you make any changes here, be sure to click the blue SAVE button.

9. Next, choose the Preferences tab.

If you make any changes to the time zone and what email notifications you want, click the section's blue SAVE button.

10. Next, choose the Security tab.

I chose to use my cell phone and text message as the 2-step verification because it's the easiest. (I didn't choose the Authenticator or Security Key.)

I also chose to use the 2-step verification to secure all transactions.

If you make any changes to this section, click the blue SAVE button.

11. Next, choose the Privacy tab.

I chose to turn ON instant sends to allow other users to see that I use Coinbase and to be able to send me crypto instantly.

12. Next, choose the Payment Methods tab.

Click on the blue Add a Payment button at top right.

Choose the payment method you wish to add, then follow their instructions in the next steps. I chose my bank account so that I can both withdraw and deposit, plus my "buy" orders process instantly with it.

13. Next, choose the Account Limits tab.

You'll want to verify at all 3 levels to send and receive cryptocurrency.

If you need to upload any documents from your computer (like the front and back of your photo ID), here's an idea: Take a picture of the document(s) with your phone, send those images to your own email address, and download them onto your computer from there.

14. Next, choose the Crypto addresses tab.

Click the All assets dropdown menu.

Choose Bitcoin BTC (NOT Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin SV), then click Create new address over on the right.

Congratulations, you have just created your Bitcoin wallet address!

This is the address other people would use to send you bitcoin. If you are a member of any programs or systems that pay out in bitcoin, this is the address you would insert into that site's "who and where to pay" field.

If you have followed all the instructions above, your account should be ready to buy Bitcoin from the blue Buy/Sell button at page top, to be deposited into your wallet, ready to spend.

There are always fees in transferring bitcoin from one account to another, so be sure to purchase MORE bitcoin than you need for spending. For example, if you need to spend $25 worth of bitcoin, buy and deposit a few bucks more so you don't run short with unknown transfer fees.

As for as sending BTC, you click Send/Receive

put in the amount in BTC and add the persons wallet number.
Note: You can toggle between Currency and BTC.
Be sure you have it set for BTC.

You will then get a confirmation
on your phone or in your email.

That's it!
